Finding the best destination for a catch up with friends can sometimes be difficult and that’s after you’ve settled on a date and time where everyone is free! We know from experience that it can sometimes take months of planning to arrange a catch up with old friends, particularly if there are a few of you. That’s why we thought we’d help you in your decision and give you a few reasons why The Courtyard in Knutsford is the ideal destination to catch up with friends in Cheshire.

Conveniently located for travel

The Courtyard is ideally located on the rear of 92 King Street, right in the centre of Knutsford, so we’re easy to reach.

For those using public transport, we’re just a few minutes walk from Knutsford Train Station which is on the Chester > Manchester trainline. There are also buses which run between Knutsford and local towns. You can see information on these bus routes on the Knutsford Town Council website. For drivers, it couldn’t be easier to get to Knutsford. We’re just a stone’s throw from the M56 and there are a number of places to park your car near the restaurant.

When you arrive in Knutsford, here is how to find us.

Near great activities

If you want to turn your lunch time catch up into a day out, we couldn’t be better placed. We’re near a number of lovely days out and activities for you and your friends to enjoy before or after your meal with us.

We’re just next door to Knutsford Heritage Centre, which is a lovely volunteer-ran museum featuring the Knutsford Tapestry and artefacts from Knutsford’s history. The centre host walking tours around the town which are a lovely way to see Knutsford.

Tatton Park is also just a short walk away and often has events and exhibitions on which are always worth looking at. However, even just a stroll around the grounds is a lovely way to spend an afternoon whilst catching up.

If you and your friends are fans of shopping, then sticking to King Street could be best. King Street is home to a number of lovely independent shops and browsing through them is an ideal way to while away the afternoon.

Dietary requirements catered for

If a member of your group has certain dietary requirements such as they are gluten intolerant, dairy free or vegetarian we have a number of options available including a full gluten free menu.

Numerous drink options

If you have friends who aren’t coffee drinkers, heading to a café for a coffee and cake can mean they feel left out or have less options than the coffee-drinkers amongst you. At The Courtyard we have just as many cold and non-coffee drink options as we do coffee. Whether you want a hot chocolate, a cordial, coke or even a glass of prosecco – we have a full drinks menu to quench your thirst.

Open 7 Days a Week

If you and your friends work full time, we understand that this can limit the time you have available for a catch up. Luckily, we’re open 7 days a week so are the perfect location for a weekend catch up. You can see our opening times here on our contact page.

The Mr FitzPatrick’s cordial selection is incredible, and I’m so glad to see them on your menu! They are delicious, but tough to find on any menu around where I am. I’ll definitely be using your cafe as a motivation to visit some friends in Knutson soon, I’ve been meaning to get back out that way for a while.

I remember reading about the Knutsford Tapestry when it was being put together in 1997, but I never got into the museum to see it. I hope to get a chance this summer, thank you for reminding me!

Knutsford is one of my favorite places to walk around when the weather gets nice. It feels like forever since I’ve been to Tatton Park, it’s good to see that there’s a nice place to eat so close by. Do you have parking on premises?
